9月14日，日本气象厅（JMA）东京气候中心（TCC）出炉了2010年夏季（按JMA定义是6-8月）的全球气候事件要闻报告。Seasonal Highlights (Jun 2010 - Aug 2010)

* Seasonal mean temperatures were extremely high and seasonal precipitation amounts were extremely light around western Russia due to blocking highs.
